Funny shit. You would never miss a shot :10: because you could practice more.
I would not have hit that shot. I would have used a club that I had confidence in.

Woods would tell you he choked. You cannot hit that shot at that time.

He could barely hit the driver all day genius. Sometimes people besides yourself have some trouble with the driver. It happens

He wasnt as confident as Brooks obviously.

So you can get home in 2 with a 3 wood on a par 5 at a major? He was down 2 and Brooks wasn’t backing down.

Are we playing with the equipment and ball in Jack's era or Woods'?

I just don’t think it would matter.

I really believe nobody was ever as dominant as Tiger was in his prime. It’s a shame that he went off the rails or he would have shattered every record out there by now.

He choked mentally then. He knew he was having trouble with the driver but still was stupid enough to hit it anyway on 17. God lord, you are a tool.

So you hit a club that you can't hit and then hit it 80 yards off the fairway to the right? Get a grip, tool. Have you ever played the game?

What? I guarantee you Woods could not shoot 90 with the clubs and ball Nicklaus used. Don't forget Nicklaus not only won 18 Majors he finished second 17 times. he was the most dominant player ever.

When Tiger broke Jack's Masters record he did it by a single stroke on an Augusta course of the same yardage as when Jack set the record 32 years prior playing with equipment and balls far inferior to what Tiger played with. Food for thought. Jack would be bombing it with the best of them, hitting it close and making putts if he was in his prime today.

Never. Lol. 600 yard par 5 and down 2 shots and you gonna hit 3 wood. No wonder you hate Tiger... you’re a pussy cat.

Tiger was thinking 3 on 17. Man you are a funny little guy

Who in the fuck.....in their right mind......would ever try to say either Tiger or Jack is hands down better than the other.

I mean, you’re definitely a hack of a golfer if you think that.

And btw, my first set of clubs were made of wood. I inherited them from my grandpa. I shot in the 80’s with them in my teens and I’ll never be a professional golfer.

And you want to tell me Tiger is gonna play bogey golf with a set of Jack’s clubs? Sweet Jesus, that is a special kind of special there.

Remember, hitting the ball 380 yards doesn’t mean jack shit if you don’t have a short game.

If you can’t hit putts inside 10 feet, 380 yards is as good as 280.

Distance helps, yes. But it still comes down to who has the best short game and who is able to scramble out of bad situations.

Too much emphasis is placed today on how technology has changed the game. People get too wrapped up in it.

In a way, being able to launch the ball to the moon and beyond is both a curse and a blessing. Back when players were a little more restricted they were able to hit fairways easier. You see guys bombing through the fairway and into the trees all the time now because they’re hitting it 80-100 yards further now. The further you hit it, the less accurate you get.

The best driver I’ve ever had was a 983K Titleist 8.5 degree. I bought that in 2003 brand new and I played it for about 10 years until I cracked the face.

I’ve upgraded every 2 years since then and now I’m playing an M1 2017 model.

To this day I am still tempted to go buy an old 983K off of eBay and just go back to it because technology from 15 years ago was way more reliable for me than what we all keep getting sucked into buying today.

I love the feel of persimmon woods. And I still have a set of 1984 Hogan PC blades — used them in the 90s until I got the Hogan apex blades around 1999. Problem with persimmon woods is if you hit the balls today with them you will shatter the face of the wood.

And Don’t mind special Ed Monty. He’s gonna hit 3 wood on 17 looking at a 600 yard par 5 down 2 shots in a major. :dhd:

He’s good for some laughs at least

My 3+ wood (13 degree) is still a callaway steelhead III. Has to be 15 years old and I got a back up for it just in case. I kill that thing and it’s the easiest fairway wood to hit off the deck. Odessy Tri-hot putter has to be about 15 years old too

Best irons I ever hit were Wilson 1200 LT blades. Manufactured in 1985 and inherited those from my dad. Played them until the head snapped off on my PW and then my 7-iron.

I bought MP-37 blades after that and those things were to die for. Carried me to 6 consecutive Nebraska Amateurs qualifications. Eventually the grooves wore down and I had to upgrade.

Today I have Titleist AP2’s brand new, and I would do anything to have a new set of MP-37’s or those Wilson 1200 LT’s.

Again, technology is so overrated.
