Make or break year for Santini. Moore is gone, 1 way contract, if he can't find his way onto that bottom pairing then the NHL is not for him.

Also, that Ellis deal is out of control for Nashville, what a bargain.

isn't it a bit early in the summer to be signing PTO's?

Mark LeTestTube with FLA, and Simon Depres with MTL already

TestTube has a 2 year 2 way deal on the table with CBJ. If Florida doesn't hold onto him, he comes back here.

So long, Hunter.

Kerby Rychel has (had) a ton of potential. But something must be off. Don't expect the kid will ever get back to the top rung.

Same goes for Shinky, both guys were great performers in junior, but couldn't translate their skill set to the NHL.

Rychel should've embraced the 4th line grinder role the Blue Jackets were trying to get him to buy into because after two years at Ricoh he never looked like he could be anything more than that with an NHL club.

lol why is this a thing like now? Did ryjo sleep with keslers wife this summer or something ?

/this post brought to u by poonerman

For the uninitiated, Johansen and Kesler don’t much care for each other. Johansen, after a particularly nasty game between the Nashville Predators and Anaheim Ducks during the 2017 Western Conference final, wondered aloud how Kesler’s family could even like him.

Even a relatively tame Twitter beef is enough to jolt the NHL from its August slumber. Johansen responded to Kesler’s tweet with his own, offering to “pay for your parking.”

“I don’t know what he was doing that day,” Johansen said. “Clearly I don’t think he was thinking right because he made a little bit of a fool of himself.”

If things escalated further, Johansen wouldn’t say.

Q&A: Preds' Ryan Johansen says Ryan Kesler made 'a fool of...

Expected more from Shinkaruk and Rychel. Have to see how their new teams will help towards that.

Narrator: It won't

Rychel should've embraced the 4th line grinder role the Blue Jackets were trying to get him to buy into because after two years at Ricoh he never looked like he could be anything more than that with an NHL club.

When here, he apparently didn't think he needed the skating coach.

He did. Still does, I'd wager.

$15 mill career earnings

however (from wiki)
1999. Rangers General Manager Neil Smith had been the GM of Adirondack when Murphy played for the club so the two had some history. However the try out would be very short lived as Murphy signed a contract with the Boston Bruins less than a week after beginning his try out with the Rangers. The Rangers, who weren't even offered a chance to match the offer, felt spurned in the situation and Murphy made bizarre accusations about his sticks being partially sawed in half and one of his skates being "thrown in the river" by Smith

Things in Boston didn't go much better for Murphy. He lasted just 26 games with the Bruins before the team suspended him indefinitely for "screaming profanities at coach Pat Burns."[9] Murphy made few friends in the Bruins locker room and was said to have questioned his teammates work ethic and was known to tell off both teammates and the coaching staff. "This has been going on for a while," Coach Burns said at the time of the suspension. "The players have had enough and I have had enough.

Murphy played 43 games with Washington over the next two years before ending his career on a particularly low note. Murphy, who had just one goal and six points in 14 games to start the 2000-01 season, was involved in an altercation in New York. After a team dinner and a trip to a night club, Murphy tried to talk a woman into joining him in a limo. She refused and a fight ensued which led to the woman's male companion striking Murphy in the head with a bottle.[12] The following day the Capitals assigned Murphy to their American Hockey League affiliate. Murphy refused to report and was suspended by the team and never played professional hockey again.

Murphy became the coach and general manager of the GMHL Alliston Coyotes in their inaugural season, however he took leave from the team midway through the playoffs due to an undisclosed allegation which resulted in a Trespass Order issued against him by the Town of New Tecumseth.[13]

$15 mil minus taxes so say $8 mil.

It wouldn't be too hard for a dingus hockey player to squander $8 mil, especially when you're having trespassing violations handed down to you by country towns in your post-playing career.
