In his defense — MSU said he thought it was a friendly negotiation (without her lawyer present)
Also, he did up it to 500,000 after the victim said it wasn’t about the money.

This is crazy. It is like MSU employees are playing a game of, ‘oh yeah, hold my beer’ to see if they can top one another in stupidity.

Hopefully this will be the nail in his MSU coffin and they bring someone in with no MSU ties to right this ship. I wasn’t thrilled that they named him interim to begin but wanted to allow him a chance before blasting him. He has been almost as much of a fuck up in the handling of this as his predecessor.

That’s the thing is — it isn’t a student/alumni problem. It is a faculty problem — the administration needs to be gutted and held accountable. Another problem is — Engler and his chronies are more worried about saving a buck in a lawsuit than saving face for the University. I don’t think that is going to work out well in the end.

Them trying to save a buck is making things so much worse and is going to cost more in the future because it is going to make MSU look like not only did it consistently enable sexual abusers but that they think just throwing money at it will make it go away. Just shut the hell up, take your kick in the nuts that you deserve. The university is not getting any more of my money. I’m not buying tickets, shirts, sweaters, nothing. I will watch the teams because much of this has nothing to do with the football or basketball team. If it turns out one of those teams went full Baylor, I’m checking out completely on the Spartans.
