Haven’t had time to look around the page. Curious who is the one guy you want to see the Lions take tonight? Also, hope all is well with everyone.

My choice — Will Hernandez.

Detroit needs a road grader in the middle of the line and he is the best of the bunch. Not a sexy pick, but Detroit could move Glasgow to Center and upgrade two positions with one pick. Also, I think Hernandez would be the obvious pick of the Vikings, so it’d take him away from them too.

I struggle to put it to one, which is good I suppose. However the one I would like the most of the likely to be there at 20 is Taven Bryan

And what do we do with Lang? Move him to LG? Not sure this makes sense.

I dont care so much who it is as long as they address weaknesses. My guess is defense. Either LB or DL.

TJ Lang plays RG. Will Hernandez plays LG. If Glasgow moves to Center, which is what they basically have said will happen. It’d give us:

LT Decker
LG Hernandez
C Glasgow
RG Lang
RT Wagner

I see now. Usually LGs are better pass blocking then run blocking so I was thrown off a bit. We definitely will need another lineman in the draft. I am not thrilled with Glasgow at center with that funky snap of his. That alone may keep us from being able to have normal running plays.

I like:
OG Hernandez
OG Wynn
C Price
C Daniels
DT Vea
DT Payne
Edge Davenport

My absolute favorite prospect in the draft though is Tremaine Edmunds, although I highly doubt he'll be there. He's the one guy I'd be willing to trade up for. He reminds me of Khalil Mack, and I think he could be a 4 down LB at any position in 3-4 or 4-3, plus I think he could develop as an edge rusher too, or blitzing LB. I don't think we're in a position to trade up, but I've seen some mocks with him going into the mid 20's and while I don't think it's likely it is what I'll be hoping for.

I don't see Bryan as a superstar or even above average 4-3 DT or DE, but think he would be a great fit for a 3-4 DE. The thing is I have no idea what our defense is going to look like yet. In that vein, I have a hard time wanting him, but if the coaches who do know what they're planning want the guy, I would be 100% on board with it.

OC Billy Price(Just don't see mauler Centers that can play both zone and power very often), but one of the DT or Landry would be cool too

Absolutely do not want Guice or Vander Esch(he'd be okay in the 3rd)

Agreed on the latter for sure. Hard to see where he would fit. He is a Mike IMO. Not sure we need that in the hybrid. Add that he is one hit away from being out of football permanently and no way do I chance it in Rd 1.

I will stick with Harold Landry but there are several I would be satisfied with.

I wanted C James Daniels but I'm even happier w Ragnow after seeing Price go 22nd and Daniels slip.

thrilled w the position of C. Most underrated position in football...touches the ball every play, calls audibles at the line, heart of the run game etc..

we got a really good one in the mold of Alex Mack, Logan Mankins and Nick Mangold.

Just reading an article in the Freep. Ragnow was even surprised the Lions drafted him. They didn’t work him out at his pro day, they didn’t bring him in for a private workout and the only time they met with him was at the combine for an interview. Oh yeah, at the combine, he also didn’t workout other than bench press.

How bizarre to not even workout the guy you are drafting in the 1st round.

Round 2:

Ronald Jones or Chubb
Harrison Phillips
Uchena Nwosu
Lorenzo Carter
BJ Hill

Never going to fall far enough, but would be awesome:
Landry
Josh Jackson
Guice

A few teams(including the Pats) took Landry off their board because of medical concerns(possibly back issues)

I know he had ankle issues. Didnt hear of anything that would be career altering though.
