Prized prospect Yoan Moncada from Cuba? Anyone got knowledge on this? Per espn it may be a huge signing bonus. I say screw that. Let new York or LA have him. Kid didn't look that great anyway.

Seems nearly every team went to see his workouts. Once the dollars it will cost to sign hium got out there, 90% of those teams just walked away and caught a flight home.


While his agent is looking for huge money, the remaining teams (NNY,NYM,BOS,LAA,LAD,PHI,CHC) are trying to figure out what level he'll start at. Reports early were that he was major league ready, the Red Sox don't think so and believe he should start at Portland with AA Seadogs. Some of the others believe the same so no one wants to step up and make a huge offer for a potential minor league lifer.


My gut tells me that the Red Sox will make an offer in the $10-$20M for 5 years. If it's not taken, they'll walk away and so will a couple of other. I think the Dodgers will make him the best offer.
