Orioles righty Kevin Gausman is currently on the disabled list and could be activated as soon as May 22, but when he does come off the DL, he’ll likely head to Triple-A and work as a starter, writes Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun. Orioles manager Buck Showalter worries that Gausman has been underutilized coming out of the bullpen this season. Gausman himself told Encina that the team has said they don’t want him to finish the season with 40-50 innings and then have to jump into the rotation in 2016.

as buck likes to say track records means a lot . track record is nolan comes up and the o's hit another gear has happened before .

Nolan is starting to do exactly what he needs to do to get noticed. The team obviously needs some help in the outfield from both a defensive and offensive standpoint and Nolan is heating up. I like it. I am rooting for the guy and I would love to see him up here and healthy. He is versatile enough to play LF/RF and in a pinch he could play CF and you can always slot him in at DH. If Reimold is ready I think Delmon Young's spot on the roster may be in trouble. Say what you want about Lough, but you need a guy like him on the team who can come in play all three OF spots just in case of injuries or to rest a guy. Lough is also valuable as a pinch runner where Young isn't. I like what Young brings to the plate, he's been pretty clutch for us but Reimold can be a potential starter.

Reimold went 3-3 last night in a 6-1 rain shortened victory for Norfolk. Unfortunately he did not score a run because he was thrown out at home plate.
