S.I. Ranking the Spartans

Well at least one S.I. writer is drinking Green Kool Aid. Andy Staples puts the Spartans at #14 in his post spring practice Pre-Season top 25.

I'm not convinced the problems on offense have been fixed so I'm not currently sharing Mr. Staples optimism.

Yeah i agree. Too many issues on offense. Defense should be good again, but i see no RB or QB stepping up leading this team. Hell bullough looked like our best RB in the spring game.

With our easy schedule, why didnt we have this schedule the last 3 years, i see us going anywhere from 8-4 to 7-5.

With the upgrades coming in at some spots and the new backups for others, Terry commenting that he wants to leave a legacy. I would redshirt him this season, working him with the scout team to get some reps and used to the system and let him compete for the starting job next season. He looks like he's going to be a stud for the team, possibly leading the team back to consistent 11 win seasons.

Athlon's always been a MSU hater. I think either of the other two - #20 or #14 is understandable. Though, I do have expectations of a much lower number come December. I wanna see 9, even 10, wins this fall.

I like the #20 ranking, I feel #14 may be a little to high. Now that the coaches poll is out, we are at #28, which is actually a bit higher than I was expecting us to start the season.
