Dirty rotten bum ruined that franchise.

“I want to thank the Titans organization for the opportunity to be their general manager over the last four seasons,” said Webster. “I have always had the best interests of the franchise in mind and did my best to move this franchise forward. The most important thing to me are the relationships I built within the building and the Nashville community. My family and I will be forever grateful, and we wish the franchise the best of luck in the future.”

Pretty much a done deal in the Motor City I heard. Are you calling for Chip Kelly as head coach and GM of the Titans?

Yeah, seems to be what he would want. Kelly is at the top of everyone's list but I'm not sure why...he's going to insist on having full personnel control and he didn't seem to make many friends during his short time in Philly. How does one go from College to being a pro head coach AND a pro GM in two years?

I also saw @RobBase 's thread about Kelly to Detroit, but didn't read it yet. Have they actually fired Jim Caldwell? I thought he had done enough to get another year, at least.

No word on Kelly since last night. Caldwell still technically the HC. We scheduled an interview for GM w Trent Kirchner (sp) from Seattle.

@RobBase is tHoop's man on the ground. He slept at Detroit-Wayne trying to spot Kelly's jet coming in.

Ah, makes sense that a new GM is going to clean house and bring in "his guy."

Is Stafford the kind of QB to run Kelly's offense? We know Mariota is.

If Bradford is, Stafford is. Huge arm, gets ball out quick, thrives in fast paced offense. Personally I want to keep Stafford around a long time and I think Lions upper mgmt feels same.

You have no idea how close to the truth this is.

That'd be hilarious to see the choppers circling DTW and you running out past security onto the tarmac to welcome the plane. :pound:

If Bradford is, Stafford is.

LOL...I think the jury is still out on whether or not Bradford was the man for the job, but point taken.

As an outside observer, I really enjoyed seeing Detroit kick ass in the second half of the season. I don't know much about Caldwell so I can't comment on whether or not he should stay, but judging by the results I wouldn't be surprised if he was retained. Even Rex Ryan got to stick around for another year after the Jets fired Tannenbaum.
