He made it to 93 years of age and as part of the famed Wood Brothers had a Hall of Fame level amount of success. Here now, one of their more dramatic wins with the late David Pearson at the wheel.

Just learned this today. Sad. The old NASCAR that I loved is basically gone. Thinking about trying to follow again this season, but its been a while.

I used to love NASCAR, but it seems like I lose more and more interest every year. I still watch the races when they're on and I don't have anything better to do, but I don't plan my Sundays around them like I used to when. When Harvick retires, that'll probably be it for me.

That's what I did when Stewart and Edwards retired a few seasons ago. I was starting to lose interest before that but after they both left at the same time, there wasn't anyone I cared enough about to continue watching for. I still keep up with it though, just to see what's going on but doesn't sound like I've been missing a whole lot.
