Remember that time when Wamu was so pumped, that the Browns beat the Bengals and thought they were on the road to the Super Bowl?

Baugh never passed for over 3,000 yards in a single season. Andy has passed for over 3,000 yards 7 times and for over 4,000 yards twice!
Andy would have been a true sensation in that era!
You guys crack me up with your washed up comparisons!
Beginning to think you are not serious, or else seriously misinformed.

In todays pass-happy league where good QB's have several 4,000 yard passing seasons Dalton has only two.

In 2013 he threw a career high 33 TD's. But he also has a career high 20 int's that season.

He started his career with five consecutive winning seasons and four playoff trips. That's good. But here's the bad. He's now has had 6 straight seasons with a below .500 record and one season with a .500 record.

I know trying to be rational with you is a waste of time. But you need to start looking at what his career numbers really say.

Jameis Winston passed for 5000 yards & no one is claiming he is any good.
Vinny Testaverde passed for over 46000 yds. No one claims he is anything special & he played in the 80's & 90's when defense was king. Oh. & he has also won some playoff games.
LOL this nightmare keeps getting worse when comparing playoffs. :laugh3:
Dalton (0-4) 1 TDs to 6 INTs 55.7 cmp%
Vinny (2-3) 6 TDs to 5 INTs 60.3 cmp%

Oh man it is a bad day when Vinny puts you to shame crying laughing.gif

@mrschaney's only argument is that Dalton's stats look good when compared to a 1940s NFL QB. LOL.

Gotta good laugh outta your response. That's no argument, that's comment sense. And shouldn't have to be said. The NFL is a lot different then when Baugh played. I was never comparing the two players.

Why are some of you so hung up on playoffs? Like this should be the only consideration? I don't hear this argument concerning other positions?? This is unfair. If it is to apply to quarterbacks, then we should go ahead and just redo the qualifications to the HOF.
Qualification 1 should be ALL players to be inducted into the HOF must have won at least a Playoff game and apply this to all positions. Other than playoff record, Andy's stats compare favorably or are better than many Hall of Famers. Namath, Baugh, the list could go on.

"Qualification 1 should be ALL players to be inducted into the HOF must have won at least a Playoff game."

Yeah okay. How many playoff wins does Dalton have again?

"Andy's stats compare favorably or are better than many Hall of Famers."

In the playoffs he's 0-4 with one TD, 6 int's and a 55.7 completion percentage. His record is 80-76-2. And over the past 7 seasons he's only 30-50. And during his 12 years career he's had 5 winning seasons (his first 5 years in the league) and 7 consecutive losing seasons.

You mentioned Namath. He's in the HOF for winning S.B. III. Had the Jets lost that game he would have never gotten in.

He'd not on the Bears just saying. To throw more ints than TD's is very alarming in todays game.
