nah, it's always worse somewhere else. However, I'm all for going for the #1 spot. I am also on board with firehouse sales, starting now. Only a week in but looks like there could be value in moving Elvis and Beltre.

Totally disagree with moving Elvis. If we do this, then who's going to lead us in the clubhouse? And don't underestimate how important this is. We would have absolutely no-one to take charge on or off the field.

Of course, as I've always contended, 'anyone and everyone is trade-able, if the offer is right.' I just wouldn't be the one starting that negotiation myself.

Completely agree about Elvis. He would be the only one left to build a new team around. He gets respect and leadership among the younger guys.

And speaking of Elvis, I heard today that he's making contact with the ball 86% of the time this season and this is the best in the majors.

But going back to trading EA. Most of the good teams, even most pretty good one's, seem to be fairly set at SS.

What move did we make to get the room for Martin?

Seems like it was just a few years ago when he was the resident SportsHoopla whipping boy.

LeClerc got sent down. For now, he will be back with the next injury in the pen I would think.

That was before we were rid of Wash who was mainly to blame for that.

He was Choo before we had Choo perhaps. Meaning: his game didn't match his check.

Thanks, and yeah, what you said makes total sense.

Actually, people perceived that Andrus' game didn't match his check

But his WAR value has always exceeded his actual paycheck except 2015, the first year of his big extension

His value was measured at 13.4 million yet he pulled in 15.... Other than that his value has always exceeded his paycheck

Wow.....I'm more than a little surprised. But good for him.

Didn't look anything up before making my statement, I just 'assumed' this was the case.

What's Choo's WAR been, just for the sake of discussion?

So far this year no one has blamed their lack of pitching success on them tipping their pitches.

They did mention that after Perez mentioned that last year his numbers did improve. So maybe his was an actual reason and not just an excuse.
