Profar might be our 2B in 2020, but I think he takes free agency after that. By that time I think even the Rangers will give up on Odor. Charlie Leblanc may be our answer at 2B for 2021 and thereafter.

What an arm Maz. You did that just like Eph use to.:clap:

He has a above average arm, and seems to set himself pretty good in the process.......Not fleet-of-foot, but gets good jumps/reads on the ball, and from afar, it appears to me, he wants to be as good as he can in all facets of the game......We got us a keeper in this one IMO.......Advantage JD

I think he was saying “ I agree with you, but let’s see what happens”

But I’m not sure.

My opinion also. He is so damn calm and cool.

A lot of ball to play in the next two years. The Ranger site gives all the projections but they are guesses to some degree. For example, if Cody gets well he may be here sooner if not later. We surely don't know who we get in the trade market. Matuella surely has to be at the Put up or shut up stage and Palumbo could easily be here in 2020.

After ASB we may be in a better position to project 2019 but 2020, a lot of variables. Probably a lot of pure guesses.

Palumbo has thrown 13 innings above the Low A level. He will hopefully pitch another half season there when he come back later this year. That still gives him less than a full season at that level so next year is probably split between Down East and Frisco with 2020 being split between Frisco and AAA. That is pretty aggressive coming back from his injury and even at that he would only have a partial season at AAA to be ready to arrive here in 2021.

You honestly think they are going to continue to stash Palumbo on 40 man with no MLB use until 2021? He will be on the fast track IMO.

Haven't you mentioned before that they are doing things differently now by not rushing guys? Now, if he was healthy this year and pitching lights out like Hernandez did before last night then they might consider moving him up quickly. It is hard for me to see them doing that given his injury history.

There is a huge difference when you put a guy in the lineup and leave him there. As opposed to playing him once every two or three days and then giving up on him when he doesn't succeed in an incredibly difficult scenario. Profar hasn't been given a chance like this in a long time and just like last time he is succeeding when given a fair chance.

I can’t wait until they send him back down once Andrus gets back.

Most organizations would keep him up, but I’ll be surprised if they make the right decision on this one.

He is out of options and can not be sent down without losing him for nothing. You need to stop beating this drum. Makes no sense sir

Yes I have mentioned that but the guy is on the roster. We can't afford to have him rostered for 3 years until 2021 and not play him. Makes no sense. Sorry this one has to be the exception

Ok sorry. I didn’t know.

I guess we will see him disappear on the bench then.

I am thinking 2020 is too early for Crouse, Ragans, Palumbo, and Matuella. Alexy and Cody might be ready some time that season, but it might be a tad early to expect them to be ready to begin the 2020 season. I don't expect Ragans and Crouse before 2022. Palumbo and Matuella ETA to me is 2021. That's if there are no more elbow or shoulder problems and that might be the most unrealistic assumption about this whole process. Of course, with this team you might have a Thoracic Outlet Syndrome problem as well.

I have a lot of question marks regarding Alexy, Martin, Matuella and Jurado.

Now I do have some hope for Arredondo(ETA 2021), Phillips(ETA 2021), and Pena(ETA 2020).

If Taveras gets a full year at each level then 2021 would be his time to play here. Not sure about JPM. If he spends a half season in Frisco this year and does well there he could be up here by 2020.

Thats why I didn't mention anyone specific, but those guys will be in the mix at some point in the next couple years, I have no idea how injuries and other developmental factors factor in with pitchers,

No one at this time last year was talking about Hernandez either

Only need a couple of those guys to fill in the rotation not all of them

He may get an appearance or two before 2021, but a don't think he will come up to stay until 2021.
