Anybody have the skinny on this kid from Sparty?

Is he more than a mere 'practice dummy' as rotoworld has put it or can he add depth as Jim Thomas tweets?

Just not sure if this move was to bring in a camp body or a legit attempt to find depth at Tackle.

Kind of late to bring in camp bodies at this stage, heck just two weeks until the cut to 75 however maybe the injury to Saffold created an opportunity for DJ.

most likely we'll end up getting a guy off the waiver wire once pre season is over. There will be a couple of teams that have to get rid of a quality Tackle or Guard because they don't have room for him. Happens every year. I'd say most likely a camp body at this point unless he blows peoples socks off.

Some competition should be good.

I get the animosity towards Saffold but keep in mind that he was our only starting level tackle last year. If it wasn't for him, we would have had Arizona type offensive line problems

Never hurts to have depth but the fact that THE JETS let him go right after the draft is telling.

It looks like the Rams are filling a roster spot with this turd because this guy is a Shelley Smith type who is undersized at tackle and if he plays guard then he is more of the same. If he is legit, we are falling again into the ole' reaching trap again and scraping the barrel for scraps from another team.

Again we had so many holes when Fisher and Snead took over we could not get all of our needs fulfilled in one or two drafts. It is going to take three or four maybe five and the O-line will be the next area we address in the next draft Finally and hopefully). May be RB as well because the O-lines in the NFC west competition have gotten better than what we have addressed so far.
