always loved his passion on the post game shows. Didn't matter how good the bears played, there was always something he could find wrong with their effort. Man after our own hearts.
I got to watch Doug play in his late seasons.i don`t remember much of him him cause I was 13 - 17 yrs old at the time I started to watch the Bears.
you always think these guys are invincible, only to find they are not.
Sucks man… All there is to say. The Doug and OB duo will never be matched when it comes to the Bears game day stuff. Nobody was more passionate than those guys.
There was no inkling (at least to the public) that he was not healthy.
He didn't miss a single radio broadcast during the Bears season. And would also be a regular call-in guest to most every daily sports show on 670 "The Score" up through the super bowl, and then also into Bears free agency talk.
It seems this was very sudden. Or at least something that occurred within the past month.
