Google is run by gun hating liberals. Good luck.
Oddly I've never had trouble finding information through a Google search though. Might be worth the effort. Even more crazy, they'll even quickly show you to the NRA website if you want to join.

I was wondering if anyone had suggestions since I'm a newbie. From what I've seen and held at gun shows, the ones I liked are Glocks, Sigs and a Beretta M9A3. Does anyone here have any possible suggestions, preferably for a 9mm? I'm looking at trying to keep it around $500 give or take.

I've always been a Glock guy.

I use DuckDuckGo

Even you know Google discriminates. You gotta dig for pages if you want good info on gun use.

I don't mind them but they were a little pricey at the gun show on Sunday.

Without a doubt. But I've had my oldest one for 20 years without a single issue. It's been my go to gun the whole time. Used it in my concealed carry class and when I went through CLEAT. I can't count the number of rounds that have been through that gun.

If you get a .40 cal with that size barrel she's gonna kick. If you get a .40 get at least a 4" barrel. I think Mine is 5"

That's why i say 9mm for gun #1 and CC

Join the NRA first. They will be happy to help you with everything, including helping you locate stores, training/classes, and gun ranges in your area. They are extremely helpful.
No need to do that.

Make sure you listen to Skynyrd's "Saturday Night Special" first
I wouldn't recommend getting a Saturday Night Special. I have one. They pack a punch, but are typically not a quality gun.

For your first pistol, I think I'd go with a Ruger .22. Cheaper ammo for practicing with. Then once you are comfortable, you can go with a decent .38 and work your way up if you want.

No, you really don't. Google and youtube are both great resources for finding gun info for free.

We should be keeping this gun forum informative rather than spreading false truths based on political ideologies.

I like any of the Sig Saur hand guns.

Most models start around $700 but they're 100% American made in Newington, NH. Most shops have seasonal sales that will knock $100-$150 off. I personally like the 1911. Reminds me of the one I carried in Nam.....I named him "Neverfail".

Just friendly advice. Use whatever you like. I find Google to be useless compared to DuckDuckGo and https://www.bing.com

Haven't used biased, useless Google in over a year.

Bing is shit. I'd recommend at least moving to yahoo search. I prefer Google myself. I've never had issues finding what I need. I can get to all the resources I need.
