PtY is a tasty and huge beer. It's also a bit of a gimmick. It's worth trying for someone who's never had an IPA that blew them away the way it can due to the fresh hop flavor, but it's absolutely not worth waiting in hours long lines in over or flying to a state that is lucky enough to pour it once a year.

There are IPAs that are just as good as Pliny the Younger available on many shelves around the country. They may not be as alcoholic (some are) but you don't have to take the day off of work and wait 2 hours in line just to be told the keg kicked before you can even taste it.
