if the playoffs started today, why the Cowboys out and Seahawks in? Didn't the Cowboys beat Seattle. Am i missing something?

Becasue there is a 3 team tie and head to head gets thrown out in that case unless one team sweeps the other two teams or lost to other two teams. Detroit has not played Dallas or Seattle so tie breaker becomes conference win % for all three teams. Seattle and Detroit are both 7-2 while Dallas is 5-4.

Seattle then gets the tie breaker over Detroit because they have a better record against common opponents.

The Cowboys are going to lose to both the Eagles and the Colts. They won't be making the playoffs.
