I continue to watch Dorsett and wait to see him used more. It is suggested that he is dealing with an injury. As usual, we don't hear much fr m Foxborough. What we do know?

Phillip Dorsett got his one throw again today.
He caught that 1 throw for 24 yards.
He now is 9 for 13 averaging 18.7 yards per reception and 4.8 yards after catch.
He leads the team in yards per reception and a few cherry-picked stats.

watch his only throw to yesterday against Bills:

Phillip Dorsett slips away from defender for 24-yard gain

This whole thing is weird. Dorsett could have 70 catches and 4 TDs and it would still be a shit trade.

Dorsett was 2 for 3 against the Jets.
He dropped a big play that would have had @YankeeRebel cheering for him.
Very surprised Brady came back to him with 2 more passes - both caught.

The drop was a perfectly thrown pass to a perfectly placed Dorsett. Ouch.....

Yep. I thought for sure when he dropped that pass he wasn’t going to see another pass for the game.

I said the same thing during the game.
Man he's so close to becoming a factor in this offense.

Cooks had some easy drops too, so this is just par for the course I guess. Dorsett will be a factor in the play-offs!

?? I was saying he will be a factor.. Not his drops....
That is why I said way to be positive. At this point him being a factor would mean he catches more balls then he drops and when you can comfortably say that about a WR there is an issue. I hope for the sake of the team you are correct, because teams won't really game plan against him. " Hey who you got covering Dorsett?" " Umm let's put a second string Guard on him, let's not risk injuring a DB"!

Depending on Hogan and Mitchell poor Dorsett may not even dress.

True though when he has played Mitchell has drops as well... But he would get playing time over Dorsett that's for sure

No one has been great. Mitchell and Dorsett both at 67%. That's the highest career percentage for Dorsett, granted he had limited targets. Cooks is at 57%. Only DA is catching passes at 70%. Not great. This is likely a combination of TB12s slow decline and just unable to get that communication with Cooks and Dorsett. Where's JE11 when you need him?

The truth be told, it's a combination of factors that have affected everything that the Patriots have done or attempted to do this season.

1. No Julian Edelman (Brady has no last second target)
2. No Malcolm Mitchell (Brady has had no one to go 1-15 yards to the sideline)
3. No Chris Hogan (Major factor in the passing game through the first 8 games. Out since)
4. Brandin Cooks (Has not had any complementary WRs to allow him to be the downfield threat)

The offensive line has not been anywhere near what it was last year. Major problem is Marcus Cannon being on IR and LaAdriann Waddle being hurt over the last 5 weeks. Brady just can't get comfortable and step into his passes.

Hopefully, there is good news that will help come next Saturday..........

1. LaAdriann Waddle appears to back fully active in practices.
2. Malcom Mitchell is participating fully in practices.
3. Chris Hogan is Participating fully in practices.
4. Rex Burkhead is fully participating in practices.
5. James White is fully participating in practices.

I think things are going to start to really turn around.

I would expect Britt to be inactive if MM and Hogan come back. BB and TB wants guys who know the system. I think Britt was an insurance plan in case one can't come back or we lose another WR.

It's all part of Belichick's diabolical plan. The drops have been staged. Just when the opposing team decides to not bother with Dorsett he's gonna have a game for the ages.
