July 3. Phillies, 45-37, .549, 3 1/2 games behind. Hitting Stats After 82 games. Generally, BAs improved in June but this was offset by decline in starting pitching stats. :bored2:

Three-game series with Pissburgh coming up. Chances for more wins.

I'm still wondering about my old favorite, Eickhoff. I just foung this from Rotowire, June 28:

Eickhoff has now completed two pain-free bullpen sessions this week and will head to High-A Clearwater with a session of live batting practice due next. The 28-year-old should require at least a few minor-league rehab starts and a return in mid-July still appears possible.

Stuck with scary-etta and his big contract. Pivetta can be replaced. Bring up De Los Santos!

They're bringing up 5-3, 4.15 Drew Anderson. Makes sense. Why call up 9-3, 1.89 De Los Santos?

On the post-game, they said Phils could bring up another arm w/o having to make a new roster move. :dhd: You were right, northeast, common sense and baseball, no way.

Anderson will get blown out by the 3rd inning. Almost a sure loss by starting him. I would make the roster move
and bring up De Los Santos. Start Leiter in another game if needed. ETC. Vinnie will be back next week.

My favorite, hot-looking palm reader believes Cy Anderson will impress with a five-hit, five inning start before losing control. Have to go with her expertise! Phillies 7-3 as Hoskins and Williams hit the seats.

I'm assuming this was how they lined up with their schedules.

According to this article, the Machado trade with the Orioles is heating up. Don't know if I agree with everything written here but this article seems to think we need improvement at the SS position. I thought we need pitching help. something isn't adding up from the FO office.

Manny Machado trade rumors: Phillies, Orioles are reportedly making progress in talks
We do need relief pitching. Machado would be a huge addition at short. He can hit! Maybe we can get him and a reliever.
