Phillies have 9 hits tonight. I see the approach has changed a little. They seem to be meeting the ball as opposed to swinging up all the time. If they stick to it then they will have more baserunners and score more. Here is hoping!

Phillies wind up with 12 hits tonight. They only struck out 7 times. The new hitting approach has been long overdue.
Swinging to meet the ball improves contact. The more balls in play, the more men on base. I hope they stick with it.
Nola was brilliant and picked up his 4th win! Nice way to end a losing streak!

I have watched enough games to come to this conclusion. I said in an earlier post that I would like to see them
hit 3 singles in a row to score a run. They did that tonight. I studied their approach tonight and could see a difference.
in everyone. Swinging more for contact than swinging up to hit fly balls. They were not getting under the pitches the way they
normally do. The approach is timeless but it works. Just meet the ball where it is pitched!
