McCarthy said Kapler wants his best hitter in the 2nd spots and hasn’t given up on Hoskins. I always thought the best hitter took the 3rd spot in the lineup. Anyway, with Hoskins not hitting well, I agree move him down a few spots.

Flex is still botching things up. Refuses to move Hoskins out of the two hole. Hoskins is hitting .159 in the last 30 days.Unless we hit a homerun we don't score. I have zero confidence in this teams hitting. No one hits for average. Except for Odubel.

On the positive side, Phils are 13-10 in May. Should be 15-8 but we can always find two games we should have won.

Alfaro has made serious improvement in May, hitting .277/.319 after April’s .211/.262, a 60 point increase in his averages.

Likewise, Santana had a dismal April, .149/.299, but is banging away in May at .286/.381.

On the downside, Cesar .279/.419 to .242/.319, and Hoskins from .278/.442 to .151/.245.
