Maybe this has something to do with what is happening in this series. Andy Suarez is through seven shutout innings for the first time as a big leaguer. The Giants haven't given up a run in 23 innings.

If the Phillies are going to take the next step, they are going to have to get someone to be a leader or someone has to step up (to use a sports cliche) and take matters into their own hands and get some hits and/or runs. Otherwise, this really is a dog and pony show and the dildoes are always lerking.

It is sort of like when we had the big three. Rollins or Chase or even lardass would get us going. Maybe Ruiz would spark a rally but someone in the clubhouse wanted to win that bad. We seem to have a bunch of players that just show up to pad their contract-based stats and just to get paid.

You would think the Black Magic Woman or Altherr or Franco would want to win every night and get a rally going. Kingery or Koskins or even Odubel. But nope, none of these guys want to win that bad and we just get run over by anyone including below .500 clubs like the Geents from SF because we can't score runs.
