Just read about a Flex interview. He said there is no change in direction for the Phillies approach in hitting. Even though
they are taking pitches in the strike Zone that can be hit. Even though they strike out a lot from getting behind, even though they are not moving runners, ETC. Flex said we will hit more homeruns and walk more by holding out. This is causing the low batting averages and low scoring in my opinion! Singles can drive in runners too. Putting the ball in play
can create errors on defense and move runners as well. No chance to have an old fashioned rally when simply swinging for
the moon!

That rigid approach is going to prove what exactly? That you aren't open to actually fixing the problem? Dumbass. Apparently Flex's brains are in his ass.

He should look at the Braves. They use the opposite approach. They swing at balls in the strike zone ,shorten swings to move runners ETC. The Braves team batting average is 30 points higher than ours. Plus they have scored 50 more runs
than we have.

Tonight, it’s Velasquez, 4-5, 4.08 vs future Giants Cy, Tony Suarez, 1-4, 5.65, who enjoys allowing runs scored. We should be able to bang this 25-year old around in preparation for Arrieta tomorrow.

Taking too many pitches is crazy. Sometimes, the situation calls for it, but you have to turn the players loose most of the time. Of course, the players still need to be selective. Next time I visit the park, I’ll try to slap some sense into Kapler.

And remember, cvck svckers, last night’s loss was only one of the 23 losses the .574 Phillies will suffer over this second “third” of the season. All we need to do is take 15 each month, 4 games a week, and we’ll reach the 62-46 target August 1. Heck, we’ve done it so far with crappy hitting and great pictching, and the hitting will only improve. End of pep rant!

Be careful, Flex works out, he might slap back. But his style is to wait, he might take 4 to 5 slaps before he swings!

Well, no runs after one. Northeast seems to have the best hande on what is going on here and our lack of production continues as we have not a first inning run in how long?

What’s Jorge doing batting 8th? His BA has been on the way up and has good speed for a big guy, Should be 5 or 6th at worst.

The Phillies will score soon. They are putting the ball in play thus far. Hits will follow! Thinking positive like jvett.
