I blame us for jinxing the team. We were 5-0 until we started posting about them. I think Cutch & Nevills were following our amazing posts and got nervous and we through them off their game. So tonight when I watch I wont post till after all the games have been wrestled.

Haha who knows, maybe we did jinx it. Both were wrestling highers seeds though, can't win em all. Didn't catch Cutchs's match but I saw Nevills and it was super close. Duke guy got a late TD at the end of the second. All 7 guys still alive going into tonight though, which is good for team race.

I also didn't see the McCuth match and don't think it was shown on TV. I actually didn't even see them show on top of the screen anything about his match.

and its over...PSU has won the National Championship for the 6th time in 7 years. Only thing left now is to see how high they can run their point total and how many individual titles they can get. This team will threaten the all time point total next year. We weren't just missing Suriano, we also lost Cortez, who woudl likely have been all american as well. We replace Jimmy with Nick Lee next year, Cassar will be in mix at 197 and everyone else is back. Could be best team of all time next season.

That Nickal pin was something else, I've never seen someone just blow through an opponent at the NCAA semis like that. That guy from Iowa he was facing also got spladled by Bo at the Iowa dual for a pin, can't imagine how he feels. The challenge that Cael put in during the Hall match was masterful as well, I definitely didn't notice the headgear pull on TV but Cael was all over it and that basically won Hall the match. Nolf, Zain, and Vinny were all very impressive as well.


I'll admit I haven't been following wrestling for a very long time, but I can't remember seeing any indiividual team put on such a dominant performance at the NCAAs, 5 finalists is incredible and Nevills got AA as well. Next years team should be even better with Suriano and Cortez coming back and getting some new blood in at 141. Future looks bright as ever, WE ARE.

That is the scary part for the other teams is we have key guys missing and we still put 5 in the finals and the 5 in the finals are all coming back. I saw Hall pull on his chinstrap as a football player would call he was being held but I figured he was just adjusting it. That challenge changed the whole match. Cant wait to see Joseph vs Martinez. Heck all the matches seem to be amazing.

Wrestling: Kyle Snyder Wins Second NCAA Title, Topping Wisconsin's Connor Medbery, 6-3
Pretty much the way I expected this to fall. Nobody was going to take down this PSU squad. I figured Iowa and TOSU would finish 2nd and 3rd. As far as our guy Snyder, the dude is by far the best and most decorated wrestler to step foot in Columbus. Congrats guys!

What a night! Zain and Nolf dominated, Joseph got the upset of the tournament in very impressive fashion, Mark true frosh NCAA champ and got to avenge the B10 champ loss, and Bo got a win over a very good wrestler in Dean. With all of those guys back next year plus Suriano, Cortez, and a young gun at 141, have to be an overwhelming favorite going into next year as well, with the possibiilty of breaking the all time points record. We Are.

Yes 6 titles in 7 years. Now if only we could get this dominate over your buckeyes in football (on a good start) then figure out the basketball sport. Seriously you guys should be so happy with 2nd topping Ok St, Iowa, Cornell and other major programs. Making the Big10 stronger.
