Lester was actually in form last night,except for that 1st inning. De La Rosa
however may need more time in Pawtucket.

Peavy will be making his 2nd start in a Boston uniform, 298th of his career. Ervin Santana,the scheduled KC starter, will be making his 256th career start. Peavy, for what it's worth, has ever so slightly better numbers in most categories,
but hardly enough to make him a heavy favorite in this match-up.

Would be nice to take a lead early and increase it steadily, wouldn't it?

This bullpen has some serious issues.

Drake Britton's previous appearances were good. Even after last night his WHIP
is only 0.833 and he's averaging 5 Ks/BB.

Beato and Breslow not so much. Beato's averaging 8.1 hits and 3.7 BB per 9 innings.

Beato may be only 26 but if he called it a career now I wouldn't miss him.
