Awesome.

The story of how they got to that whole gag is pretty funny as well.

They did not intend on making him “special”, but when his puppet was done, they hated it, because it made him look “special”. It was too late in production to have it remade, so they changed the character to the classic that it became.

Ha, sounds like something they'd do.

Never heard what Matt Damon thought about being portrayed as a retard in that movie but I did hear that Matt and Trey received some angry letters from Sean Penn after it was released.

I don’t remember if this is accurate, but I THINK I heard that Mat Damon got a kick out of it.

Typical of Sean Penn. What a doosh-nozzle.

"Last year I went to Iraq. Before Team America showed up, it was a happy place. They had flowery meadows and rainbow skies and rivers made of chocolate, where the children danced and laughed and played with gumdrop smiles."―Sean Penn

All great choices. Particularly Edge of Tomorrow which is a movie that I think will have a LOT of legs. The studio fucked up the marketing of that film something fierce. But everyone I know that has seen it loves it.

To me there's a difference between best performance and peak performances.

To me, a peak performance is when the actor could do no wrong, a perfect fit of role and actor
Sometimes they are the same, sometimes not.

Tom Cruise

Peak performance: Top Gun
Best Performance: A Few Good Men

Matt Damon

Peak performance: The Bourne Identity
Best Performance: Good Will Hunting

Bruce Willis:

Peak performance: Die Hard
Best Performance: Sixth Sense

George Clooney:
Peak performance: Oceans 11
Best Performance: Up in the Air

Gene Hackman

Peak performance: French Connection
Best Performance: French Connection

Tom Cruise: 'Born on the 4th of July''
George Clooney: I can't decide if it's 'Oh Brother...', 'Michael Clayton', or 'Up in the Air' (not a big Clooney fan, TBH)
Matt Damon: probably 'Good Will Hunting'
Bruce Willis: It's between 'Die Hard', 'Pulp Fiction', and 'The Sixth Sense' for me
Gene Hackman: 'Unforgiven' or 'French Connection'

You? You couldn't remember your password for 8 months

OK, I'll fess up about my disappearance.
DO NOT draw Rollie Finger mustaches on the Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il portraits in a North Korean hotel room.
Yes, I got the Warmbier treatment, but luckily I can function OK on 1% of my normal brain matter.

BTW, I am familiar with the Bride Of Frankenstein scene with the blind hermit and appreciate how brilliantly the Young Frankenstein scene plays off of it.

Interesting that a few other posters besides me have mentioned they aren't crazy about Clooney.
Assuming we are all guys, I would say that back the notion that he appeals much more to women than men.
I actually worked with a guy who looked a lot like Clooney, including the crazy eyes thing that made me think both of them looked a little goofy, but women were just crazy about him like they were about Clooney.

I will say that George did a remarkable Clark Gable impression in OBWAT, truly remarkable!

All good choices. However I have different choices.

Cruise - A Few Good Men. Perfect role to highlight his cockiness. Hon Mention - The Firm
Clooney - Out of Sight. The quintessential Clooney and Soderberg's first real great film. Hon mention - Michael Clayton
Damon - Good Will Hunting. The movie that vaulted him to the top still was his best performance. Hon Mention - The Martian
Willis - Die hard. One of the greatest action movies ever made. Hon men - Sixth Sense
Hackman - Hoosiers. So many great choices but he was tremendous in this role. Hon mention. Unforgiven

Wow ..you just about picked my favorite movies from those actors. I still can't believe you picked Out of sight/Micheal Clayton ...I love those movies.

I would only replace Hoosiers with the French connection.
