UC has been unstoppable while being minus a lot more than Xavier is.

Yeah UC finally figured out how to score.....maybe when Gates comes back they can stick with the four guards.....

Losing the way XU did at home is in-excusable, IMO.

Yeah, I realize they were without Tu and Lyons, but Oral Robersts? At home? By 22?

They showed up (XU) like they had other plans, and played like it the entire time.

They could lose 2 in a row as they travel to the Mauii, I think it is, and their first game they get Tu back, but still no Lyons or Wells.

As good as Tu is, XU is winning games because Lyons has really stepped up this year. Tu needed another guy to step in and provide scoring because teams are going to focus on him a lot. Lyons has done that. I would not be surprised to see XU struggle again, and lose, until they get both Tu and Lyons back.

Wells has also been a nice player off the bench for them.

Cronin said the change in offense was coming because they were only getting 55 a game as it were. The suspensions just speeded up the process (thank goodness).

Everyone on this team has raved about allowing the players to simply play for the best shot instead of running a set play each time down the floor. Especially a play for a low-post position that hasn't worked at all.

Now, instead of trying to run the same set play every time down the floor, and if it doesn't work re-setting it to run the same play over and over, the guys can find an open guard and shoot it at will.

One of the player said that in the old offense, even if you were open, you were afraid to shoot it because it was not part of the "play" called. If you shot it and missed, you knew you were going to be coming out of the game. Now, if you are open, you shoot it without fear. Clearly, the team has taken to this approach, and Wright has been fantastic at doing what he's supposed to be doing...directing the offensive flow, finding the open guy, and being a floor leader.

Then again...it was against Wright State and Radford, but UC should be beating bad teams like this by 20 and 30 points. Now they are. Before, it was a struggle to the end.

Xavier lost their first game without 60% of their starting lineup.


UC just lost to Xavier by 23 points, and also lost to the Presbyterian Blue Hose and Marshall.


So, i guess if this makes UC fans feel better....So be it. Anything to take you mind away from the facts.
