OT: Rules question

now, obviously i know little league and the majors have differing rules, but my brother and I are arguing about this, and i want to know what the ML ruling on this would be.


his team was up 3 in the 6th, when he came in. they play. in the top of the 7th his team took an 8 run lead. he pitched the bottom of the 7th as well. now he's saying he got a save. that isnt a save situation, is it?

Yes it's a save

If he entered the game with a 3 run lead and finished the game it's a save

If someone else pitched the 7th , then nobody gets a save
