The Pirates have spotted Wandy to a 4-0 lead in the first. Good. We need to make up for last night's debacle.

Yep, and that error, to many to count.

Hard for me to take ERA seriously when a pitcher's own error is not counted as an earned run against him.

Very true that should be an earned run against Wandy but it won't.

Glad Mazzaro could clean up that inning.

Well ideal scenario, Pirates beat up on Tillman who doesn't have it either, win the game and Wandy is DFA'd tomorrow.

Well, less than 24 hours.

we got to see what cumpton and sadler can bring.
also pimentel when he comes off DL and hopefully stretches out in rehab stints.

the only reason to keep wandy is if we think he can improve enough to be a reasonable LHP for a contender down the stretch and we can flip him in a package and get something of reasonable value in return.
seeing all 3 of those satisfied seems like quite a long shot and would like to see what our system can produce in sadler, cumpton, locke, and pimentel.

ie, get rid of wandy 3 weeks ago.
