So the Skins were considering Guice at pick 13, but in the 2nd they were going to take Johnson with Guice still on the board?

I doubt they ever considered him at 13. The wanted Vea. They settled for Payne. I dont think they considered anyone else besides those 2.

Aren't most CB's like WR's and take two to three years to develop into productive position players? If the guy hadn't made it onto the roster then one could question having drafted him in the second round. He's on the team, he's contributing, and he's scheduled back into camp.


I didn't say he needed to become an instant starter. The fact that he barely saw the field with injuries in our secondary and when he was in there. He didn't stand out at all is cause for concern. Regardless of position, he was a top 50 pick. That means our GM saw him as one of the 50 best players in college football. He should be contributing sooner than later. This year should be very telling as to what we got.
