I am surprised he accepted a 1 year deal. It was his last chance to get another multi-year deal. He will be bouncing around on 1 year deals from here on out.
Poor guy.

14mill to beat the shit out of teams.

He'll prolly get more next off season anyway.

Lions signed LB Jonathan Freeny. Another Patriot depth guy. I know lots of you will be all frustrated but who did the Pats have on defense that really scared anyone? Noone pretty much. They where still top 5 pts against playing a bend dont break with a bunch of nobodies on the front 7
Our defense is gonna suck so much donkey cock.

Big veiny retired ones. From Tijuana.

Gross dude.

He is not guaranteed to even make the roster so lets not get carried away.

Lions signed TE Levine Toilolo, formerly of the Falcons, to a one-year contract.
Toilolo is a blocking tight end only and will handle the old role of Darren Fells from last season. Fells left Detroit for a three-year deal with the Browns.

I'm starting to like Iowa C James Daniels in round 1.

Free agent Wesley Johnson is visiting the Lions.

Johnson was the Jets' replacement for Nick Mangold last year. He started 15 games but struggled with penalities and graded as one of the worst centers in the league. In Detroit, Johnson would add insurance if Travis Swanson doesn't re-sign.

Not interested in that guy at all. I would keep Glasgow at center anyway. Swanson would be a backup if brought back. Would rather draft anyone at this point. C/G is on my list for sure.

Also, Ziggy will most likely not get a contract either. He will either play on his 1 yr tender or sit out.

This has been a rough off-season.
Signing a bunch of yawners on a team that clearly isn't good enough to compete for a championship.
Does Quinn expect the rookies he drafts to come in and light the world on fire or something?

That would be a refreshing change of pace. Can you get rookies that contribute outside of the top 5 picks? I am not sure I have ever seen that for the Lions

They may be yawners but they fit the system (on defense anyway). Need guys like that too. Hoping Williams and Shead get back to 2015-16 form. That would make a big difference.

The best way to talk about the Lions off season is by saying "Matt Cassell is not the worst signing they have this off season"

We should appreciate 3rd place in the division while we can hold onto it.

Bears D was stingy at times last season. Another season for the kid to develop and they got decent weapons for him if they’re healthy? I’m not looking at a automatic finish ahead of them. IMO the Lions regressed more than 31 other teams, truly worse than half the league. Don’t see a winning record at this point in time.

I hope all these old fraternity brothers can coach and play football, otherwise we're fucked.

I hate wasting a roster spot on our QB coach, but they may want 1 more year for Rudock before depending on him solely. Cassell can then be signed as the QB coach next year and open the extra spot back up.

Dont be surprised if the Packers finish last. They have done even less and lost their best WR. Not to mention Rodgers is coming off a twice fractured collarbone and may not ever be the same.

I think a lot of you guys need to stop acting like Millen/Mayhew/Caldwell is still running the show. We have proven winners running the team now. They have always won ugly but they have always won.

I dont see this attitude anywhere else on the web except this board.

There is a very long list of proven winners for the Patriots that fail horribly once they leave there.
