These things can always fall on their face. I agree, on paper they are monsters. However, we should know better than to 100% entirely fall into that trap.

The one thing about the Rams I am not sold on is Goff. May not matter until the postseason, but I am not so sure Goff isn't a product of what is around him. Even the audibles he's calling at the line are essentially McVay; now that's a situation I am semi-surprised the rules committee didn't come after.

Yeah, I meant to add that in my post. I have to see if that whole situation can keep up the way it did last year. I'm not sold either.

Now the Seahawks are on my short list as one of the most over hyped teams in the league. Talking about a team set to implode. Saying it right now, the Bears will be win that game when we face them on Monday night in week 2.

I think the same thing, I’ll have to see the bears on the field before I make a prediction that bold though.

No, I think the Rams will win the west.

If not them, the Niners or Seahawks are on about equal footing. IMO. Maybe a slight edge to SF. I don't know how big of a drop-off Seattle's D has. That's the big question... if they really become a poor D. Yeah, that's bad news.

I don't even think that's bold. We might even be favored. Seattle isn't the same team on the road to begin with, even when they were good.

Obviously, Nagy could be a clown, Trubs could be a bust... etc... things can go catastrophically. However, Seattle wasn't very good last year and they only got worse. I think Russell alone and having a pretty good coach keeps them middle of the pack, though.

I have heard nothing but bad forecasts for the Seahawks this year.

They literally have the opposite of hype. No one expects anything from them.

I was mainly referring to the media. The Seahawks continue to garner a disproportionate share of ink. Hence the overhyped comment.

Well, they were both a dominant and polarizing team for a long-time. With a high profile, polarizing coach and star QB.

The dismantling of the star power in Seattle is undoubtedly a big story, deserving of coverage. End of an era.

Mine goes a bit further in that Case Keenum thrives in Denver and makes Minnesota look VERY stupid in that they could have saved tens of millions and just kept him instead of breaking the bank for Cousins.

I'd throw in Fuller and Amos as well. While it may be understanding that both were left off, I don't think you would have heard too many people argue if either one made the list, especially Fuller. He had a hell of a year. And while Amos didn't garner much attention, he played steady, consistent ball for much of the season. I can see them gearing up for more recognition in '18.

Chancellor retired...

Russell Wilson is basically on his own this year. I can't imagine him playing much better than last season and even that couldn't get them a playoff berth WITH the elite players who left.

I think it's perhaps time to stop talking about Seattle as a big test. Still could be tough, as they have a really good HC and QB. However, this isn't nearly as daunting of a Week 2 matchup (especially at home) as we originally may have thought. Certainly far less daunting than GB in Week 1.
