Red Sox Wins Above Average By Position:

C: -1.1 (14th in AL)
1B: 1.0 (3rd)
2B: 1.2 (4th)
3B: -0.5 (11th)
SS: -0.9 (14th)
LF: -0.5 (10th)
CF: -0.3 (11th)
RF: 0.0 (6th)
DH: 0.0 (5th)
PH: -0.5 (12th)

SP: -0.9 (13th)
RP: 1.3 (2nd)

Bit surprised at their DH and SS ranks (though Bogaerts has rated well below average defensively and his offense has been up and down). I'm not really worried about him though. Considering he's 21, he's doing OK. You can't expect him to be an all-star in his first year.

For comparison, here's their 2013 ranks:

C: 1.6 (5th)
1B: 2.3 (2nd)
2B: 3.8 (2nd)
3B: -1.9 (13th)
SS: 1.6 (2nd)
LF: 0.4 (4th)
CF: 4.0 (2nd)
RF: 3.9 (1st)
DH: 2.9 (1st)
PH: 0.1 (2nd)

SP: 1.4 (8th)
RP: 1.1 (8th)

3rd base was the only real weakness for the Sox last year. They were strong at every other position offensively.
