They miss Syndergaard, which is lucky for them...Matz v Kluber could get ugly on Sunday with our offense.

I hope Colon gets his empenadas tonight because we really need this opener

Why should I be happy when we suck so badly? All the papers say so...

All the NY papers are just passionate Mets fans

Probably the #1 reason why they are almost out of business

Props to Big Bart.....

CLEVELAND -- Bartolo Colon notched career win No. 219 on Friday, matching Pedro Martinez for second all-time among Dominican-born pitchers. It proved even more special because the victory came in Cleveland, where Colon began his big-league career in 1997.

"It means a lot," Colon said through an interpreter after the New York Mets held on for a 6-5 win at Progressive Field. "Pedro Martinez back in my homeland, the Dominican Republic, is a special person. And to do it here in Cleveland is something special for me. First and foremost, I want to thank the Cleveland Indians organization for the opportunity.

"In the first inning, I felt a little nervous. But then throughout the course of the game, I settled down."

Colon, who turns 43 next month, is 24 wins shy of matching Hall of Famer Juan Marichal for the most victories by a Dominican-born pitcher. That seems out of reach given Colon's age. Then again, Colon is still going strong.

Colon allowed two runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out five in 5 1/3 innings against the Indians. He departed with the Mets leading 6-2 and two runners in scoring position. Antonio Bastardo stranded the inherited runners.

Colon's career innings count now stands at 2,993 1/3. He can reach the 3,000-inning count in his next start, which should come Wednesday in Philadelphia.

"Back when I first started, I was a hard thrower," Colon said. "But I made adjustments, and I'm thankful."
