Cardinals Fans, I realize it's probably too little too late but our Cardinals have won four series in a row. I'm impressed with the way Mike Shildt is running this team, how about you?

Mark, You're seeing improvement this season since your Pirates have overachieved. The Pirates have some good young talent and a GM who seems to be focused on making them better.

If the Cardinals can sweep the Royals that'd put them at 63-55 with a 4-game series with the Nats to follow. Currently, 3.5 games out of the 2nd wildcard. It'd be one hell of a feat if they made the postseason. They're only 6 games back in the Central, but I'm not counting on them taking over the division. It'd be nice, but highly unlikely at this stage.

I like your encouragement! It's shaping up to be a September to remember with 4 of the 6 divisions still too close to call with numerous teams still in the hunt for playoff spots.

And what a HUGE series it is!

As a Cardinals fan I just have to hope that we keep winning and the Phillies and Brewers get into some losing streaks. It's exciting to be in a playoff race at the moment.

If we're talking about 'hopes' then I'm more focused on the Cubs right now. Lots of baseball left.

I'm always focused on the Cubs but the numbers say we've got to catch the Brewers before we catch the Cubs. But like you said, "Lots of baseball left."
