It doesn't make me want to lunge for the radio to change the station. So that alone puts it above most music of this type. But the only hip hop artist I've really enjoyed, rather than just tolerated was A Tribe Called Quest. Honestly I've never really delved into much hip hop, though... some Tupac.. some Eminem.. that's about it.

I love the Motown sound... Those were great musical artists.

Just for gits & shiggles.....I tried to listen to some of it.

Not even remotely close to anything Motown.

It sounds more like a few old Earth Wind & Fire samples dubbed over some Isley Bros riffs.....and poorly done at that....imho.

Ghost Town is interesting. I think maybe the lyrics knock it down a peg but maybe after a couple more listens I'll think thats part of the charm. I like the structure and the sound of it a lot.

Wouldn't Leave sounds good. Almost like the idea was to peel back the techno-rap that Kayne brought to the mainstream and deliver a pretty simple song.

No Mistakes seems like nothing special.
