So here's a question, we have 5 goalies for 4 spots. Are we planning on trading one?

Blackwood isn't going anywhere. We brought in Lindback, likely as the AHL backup, which leaves Kinkaid and Wedgewood fighting to backup Schneider. What happens to the 5th guy? Do we just cut him?

Trade whomever brings the more value between Kinkaid n Wedgewood. Or add one as part of a package for another trade...

2-0 in the meaningless games, 2 split squad games yesterday. Lappin put 2 home which is nice, hopefully he can challenge for a roster spot or at least make himself attractive as a trade chip.

The good thing is a lot of the guys are still young so you can justify keeping them in the AHL for another season with the occasional injury call up. I think next summer is when some tough decisions will have to be made. This season feels like it will be the final showcase for some of these guys.

Reading up on preseason, im hearing good things all around sans Zacha... has he been on the ice?

Heard DSP may be a bit slow for Hall n Rico.... That's not a bad thing either.....

Its a nice luxury to have imo. The roster is packed with a lot of talent. And Shero has even more in the minors and through his drafting. If anyone can package a deal. And bring in a defensemen without too much collateral.Its definitely Shero. And there are some defensemen that teams need to move. Could be interesting.

I'm definitely impressed with how the devils have performed in the preseason. And Schneiders comments on liking the pace they ae playing at are spot on. I cant wait for the regular season to start.

Trying to temper my expectations a bit but I'm excited. There will be a big adjustment with the influx of youth. Our D will be a work in progress throughout the year, going to be a lot of mistakes back there that we have to overcome.

yea, first time in a long time i do not expect our defense to be a strength(outside of goaltending)...

but in today's NHL it can be overcome

i'm fine with our defense being our weak point. i'm at the point i rather play 5-4 games and hope cory can make that big save to seal the win. as oppose to 2-1 games hoping that cory can stand on his head every night

I believe in Hynes and i believe in several of our players to perform.....

Looks like Wedgewood is the odd man out for our goaltending situation, he was put on waivers. Why bring in Lindback? Seems odd to me.
