Nebraska will come out guns blazing because they have to beat us to have a chance at become bowl eligible. I expect to be worried for the entire first half and maybe the third quarter.

I would certainly hope he does because I don't think there's much experienced depth behind him after this year. Smith can fill in fine for now but who are the 3 starters at LB next year if Bowen doesn't come back? I would assume Brown is penciled into 1 spot but who plays the other two? Cooper? Brooks? Miller? BFW or Franklin? I can't imagine one of the 2018 kids would be ready but who knows I guess

edit: I guess Farmer has 1 more year of eligibility if he wants it so I suppose you could pencil him in at 1 spot if he comes back.

Brooks or Luketa would end up between Farmer and Brown. Luketa is enrolling eearly and has the frame already.

I think we can. It looks like Chip Kelly is going to Florida or so the rumors are saying. That would make it Nebraska vs staying at UCF. Would be pretty sad if can’t win that and get Frost

Rotated a lot of younger guys in for more PT earlier than usual, was full on bench clear by 4th. Nebraska made some plays, got na onside kick, but it was all garbage time and game was over at half. I wish Sanders had gotten a few more carries, was glad to see Bowers get a TD. didn't even know he was active, heard he may never play again in Spring. If he's healthy, taht will be HUGE help in filling Gesecki loss. Kid is very athletic and a better blocker.

Yeah I was tracking on my phone at the event I had to attend. I figured we were backups on D fairly early. It is good for them to get time. We are going to have a young defense next year. Good to see Saquon set all time records as well Gisecki.
