Wonder if the Raptors move on from Dwayne Casey if they don't do well in the playoffs. The team had a great regular season but unless they go far in the playoffs this year it'd be all for naught.

I have no problem with what Charlotte did. My comment was more directed at the Knicks and Magic.

Charlotte made the right move. Should have been a playoffs team the last 2 years.

Oh, I agree. I was just making the point that there are sometimes good reasons to let a coach go within a season or 2 of hiring them.

Sometimes, as in the case of the Lakers that I brought up, it's to correct a previous stupid move.

Other times it's for a different reason. But you're right, in Charlotte's case, that coach deserved to be fired whether they got a new GM or not.
