Dude, for your first draft ever you pretty much hit it out of the park IMO. You could have waited on Hartline but in my last draft Hopkins went earlier so that would pretty much be a wash. You didn't get caught up in the "I need to draft my QB first" syndrome that a lot of first timers get caught up in. Also the fact that you drafted Romo and hate his guts as a Skins fan shows you will be good at this and fast. Nice team!:suds:

Very solid overall, though I'd like to see more RB depth.

I'd echo what SAm said, to the letter, especially the parts about not reaching on a QB and not being a homer..in fact I don't' see a single 'Skin on your team. In fact, the only thing I don't like is Ronnie Hillman, regardless of how the Denver RB situation plays out, Hillman is going to be the low man on the totem pole because of pass protection and ball security issues, not mention he isn't built to handle much running anyways. Would be interested as to what other Rb's were available at that pick.
But still, very solid, especially for a beginner, well done!

Your starters are going to be very strong for a 12 team league. There are many veteran fantasy football players who can't draft this well.

Like others have indicated, you could stand to improve your bench somewhat. Hopkins and Givens are strong upside plays (in fact, I would strongly consider starting Givens over Jennings in week 1). Aside from them, you could be hurting a little. Overall though, excellent job. You clearly did some research before your draft.

Go Skins!

I'll echo Tlance - start Givens over Jennings for the beginning of the year. I'd want to see how targets/Ponder's ability look in MIN before starting any of their receiving options. Givens has been looking great in practices, seemingly has developed his route tree to the point where he might get the most targets in STL. Not just a deep threat like last year.

This is a 12 team league? If so, congrats on a solid first draft.
WR is going to be a little weak. Hopkins went earlier in all of my leagues. Depending on how injuries go, you may be able to move a starting RB for a solid receiver

Yeah, I dumped him and the Steelers D/ST this week like a bad habit. I ended up with Charles Clay and the Browns D (I wanted the Bills, but someone picked them up off waivers).

I do have a question as far as WR3 and Flex goes for week 3.

I currently have Hartline as my WR3 and Lamar Miller in the flex spot. The guys I'm thinking about are Givens, Jennings (though he's facing Haden) and Hopkins (definitely starting if Andre is out for the game).

Also, would you start Romo or Palmer at QB? Does this mainly depend on Fitz?

Pick up Minny or J E T S D and you'll thank me. Givens had a nice week last week and Hartline, eh. I'd probably go with Hartline this week though; they'll probably have to throw a lot to keep up with Ryan.
