well if oakland takes the division lead

then the mariners have to stomp the astros again...........i dont know what the chances of that are

On a side note... I'm also a huge closet Red Sox fan... When I was in 3rd grade.. My best friends mom's cousin was, Dwight Evans... He would always come to my friends house on thanksgiving/Christmas in our cold a sac and play football with us... I had him sign his card, my mitt, football, etc... Ever since then, I've always been a huge Red Sox fan...

Gotta admit, it's been nice to have a team like the Red Sox to root for when the M's haven't done squat...

My mom grew up in Boston so I have a ton of family over there. Used to root for all the Boston teams secondary until they all got really good and then it became too
much.

UW is as well, claiming someone else's NC because you beat them when they were on probation doesn't make a sliver of a title into a real title.

It's all good though. The Mariners will start their next WC series against the Astros next week. The A's are going to over take them.

I have refrained from bitching too much (for me that is), but of the few innings I watched I thought the biggest mistake of the night was Gordon getting thrown out in the 8th trying to steal with no outs, down by one, and the heart of your lineup up. Gordon was caught stealing twice in 18 attempts through end of May. He has now been caught 7 times in 18 attempts since June 1st. Stop running him!!!!!! How about a hit and run which won the guy by the way vs Astros.

Doesn't make sense, especially when they said he is "banged up". Not sure if it is Servais' call or he has the green light but someone does need to give one of them an idiots guide to a playoff chase 101.

gamel is the third best hitter on the team....what the.............head scrach........maybe brain surgery

harnandez to the pen did work ......cuz they did not have a chance to get ready for him......whhhoo brain surgery worked

no trade for a starting pitcher or utility guy who can hit......but i cant find the offence/or defence...nuro..or bugs

all the other teams go by the numbers as well at this point...and they use them for pitch prediction...or bug numbers

Honestly Dee should be the one on the bench. If he can’t even steal the few times he gets on base then what value does he provide?

Yep. Yet another situation where you have a spot where Gamel could have been used in the 9th. Instead Knino is up there. Now that they are down two relievers, it will be funny when Romine is still on the roster. Oh and glad we didn't add any starters.

So the entire reason we were being sold on Heredia over Gamel was because of defense. And then in what could be described as a must win game, we have Heredia in LF and Gordon in CF???
