I think without a doubt that FS Quincey Mauger is by far the most improved player. He had a heck of a game against Clemson

It's too early to tell.

The entire special teams would be my vote after week 1 though.

The front 7 and o-line deserve a nod as well.

But the special teams gets my vote.

Last season our special teams was all around shaky.

Couldn't return kicks or punts, had very few touchbacks when kicking off and gave up a bunch of big returns. Our coverage wasn't great either.

Against Clemson on kickoffs they were all either touchbacks or the coverage made the stop before the 20. And the punt game was great. Barber and the other punter deserve a lot of credit for the second half domination. Remember it was 24-21 for a long time in the third, but the punt team kept penning Clemson inside the 10. Plus that like 70 yard punt to reverse field position.

Our return game also looked alive. Gurley had the big kickoff return and Davis had some nice punt returns to give us good field position.
