Just a few points of clarification. Trumbo is strictly a DH in these game so his defense won't come into play. Montero's & Martin's defensive numbers are virtually identical with .991 vs .992 fielding % & both catch base stealers at a 32% clip. I went with Montero because he is slightly the better hitter & gave the lineup more balance being LH.

In their best defensive seasons, Martin had a fielding percentage of .998 (2013) compared to Montero's .992 (2012). I used 2012 for Montero because he also threw out 42% of baserunners, which helped push it in front of the .994 in 2013 (33% CSPCT) and the .996 in 2010 (31% CSPCT and only 79 games played).

Honestly, if we were setting up individual game match ups, I would have Russell against LHP & Montero against RHP. But since we didn't go that route, I just went with the slightly better offense.

I also had Tex/Batista/CarGo/Upton set up that way because of the lefty/righty setup. Having Batista bat 4th would have force me to move Cargo to 7th behind Upton. I liked the setup starting with Tulo, it makes it hard to bring in a LHP specialist.

I went with Team G just because I remember Kershaw getting rocked and Fielder falling down last year.

As good as G's lineup is, L's isn't that far behind. Other than Harper, who shouldn't be starting. The L rotation is just too good to pass for me.

lol, they were the best L/R combo and it got me an "out"...I drafted like the Royals, best bullpen, ended with the same results.

If brought up in game 1 then you would have had a arguement but instead you end up with a lose like I will in this matchup. LOL

It was brought up for me when I tried to get Clippard or Benoit, before game 1, lol. Nos secretly beats me with a stick when you guys aren't looking.

Like RP make a difference in these games, lol....after basketball and baseball, I am only drafting current stars for now on...1 bitten, twice shy babe.

If I was in the NBA draft, I might take Wiggins after Lebron/Durant..lol
