Mexican Wrestling Star Perro Aguayo Jr. Dies After In-Ring Accident

Be aware that if you watch the video and on Youtube, it's fairly graphic.

Rey Mysterio and Konnan are also in the match. From what I've seen, it looks like Perro took a really bad bump trying to set up Mysterio's 619 move and either broke his neck or cracked his skull. Sad situation. We take it for granted but these guys really do risk their lives for entertainment.

I've watched that video multiple times and still can't find one thing that led to it. TBH, I think his tumble right before Rey hits the leg scissors tweaked his neck or something. Then everything from that point onward compounded the situation. Just a freak occurrence.

How the fuck do you not stop the match when you realize the guy is clearly out of it?

I don't think they realized how bad it was.

He didn't even connect with the 619. Had to be prior to that, but I couldn't see anything that clearly was the fatal blow. Really tragic.

It's hard to say if they deserve heat for not stopping the match. The thing that is suspicious is that it quickly ends after the injury. It's almost like they got together quick and said "He's hurt bad, let's finish this up." But I guess it could have been the plan all along and Rey did just hit the 619 (sort of)

When he got back into the ring he seemed okay, then it looked like he wasn't ready for the kick, may have snapped his neck on that because the way he hit the ropes looked like he was out. Terrible thing!

It appears the trauma occurred when he flew from the ring. He catches his back/neck. Adrenaline allows him to enter the ring, but by the time the kick to the head comes about, it's lights out.
