I feel bad for the Mets fans who stayed until the last inning. But I am glad that KC won it all!

Followup to my earlier post, comment #9, "I'm picking the Mets and their post-season 2.81 ERA to win this World Series. Murphy went .421/.436/1.026 with 7 HR and 11 RBI."

Mets World Series ERA: 4.21 (vs KC's 2.94)
Murphy's World Series stats: .150/.320/.150

Also: Cespedes .150/.143/.15, Wright .208/.240/.333

Well jvett. The series didn't go 7 as I predicted but the five games were exciting. I didn't get to see last night's extended game (work) but I hear it was another thriller. I'll be around in the off-season waiting for March to get here and witness what the new FO is going to do to get the dildoes out of the hole they have been in for the last several years.

Well said

I would say that you should put it on there, but you're fucking ancient while I still have my formative years ahead of me. Barring getting some bad X at a gay club, you'll definitely kick it before I do

I enjoyed the games, retro. The Royals would not roll over. It was interesting in the 9th watching the pitching coach in the dugout tell Harvey, with the 2-0 lead, that he was being taken out, whereupon he immediately went over to Collins to plead his case. Collins relented and the crowd cheered their approval. Me too. But Harvey walked the first batter, Cain. I figured Collins would make the move then to Familia who was fully warmed up. He didn't and Hosmer doubled in the run, and things went downhill. But maybe the outcome would not have been any different with Familia since the Mets had such a bumbling defense.

Things will be different next October with the Nola, Eickhoff, Buchanan, and Thompson rotation shutting down the Royals. Oh, yeah!.
