This thread got absolutely ridiculous. We had 4-5 separate fights, including one in which somebody actually said; "You wouldn't say that to my face." Which is right up there with the most cliche things it is possible to say online. Probably right ahead of "I'm a 13 year old girl too, we should meet sometime, tell me your address."
never heard that one before, but then again I dont run in pedo circles.

I thought that is what @Edonidd was saying in his post? Maybe I misread it.

You definitely misread it.

I've been an MMA fan since they still called it NHB and vale tudo. I remember the early days of UFC and Pride where idiots who didn't have a broad combat background walked into the ring and gave up their backs to try and escape.

I'm saying anyone who says Mayweather doesn't gave a chance in UFC might as well be walking around claiming the sky is blue. You are completely correct but still come across looking like an idiot. Literally everyone knows this already.

What can you say about Conner McGregor. That guy is a pain in the ass irish thug when preparing for a fight. But anyone thinks thats who he is needed to see the post fight interviews, the real Connor, punching at the girl interviewer, explaining what went wrong, how Floyd got him leaning back when he was punching to take away his power. For as much as Floyd got hit the first round, he did not show much damage, ended up playing in a basketball game sunday. I loved how some Fooks got thru but all smiles and a real person.

Dont know if Conner would have given more if the fight started on time, but dollars are dollars for both of them.

McGregor landed 111 punches on Mayweather, more than any other boxer ever.

McGregor could have been using pillows for most of those punches. He had nothing on them. It was part of Mayweather's strategy to block punches with his gloves and make him miss until McGregor had no power. After a few rounds Mayweather started walking McGregor down and landing with a lot more power. He wasn't looking to outpoint McGregor. He wanted and got a KO or TKO.

I watched the fight and saw Mayweather stunned several times . Just because, Mayweather didn't go down, doesn't mean he wasn't hurt or stunned.

I saw Mayweather keep walking forward. I have seen people react more from mosquito bites. Whereas McGregor was held up by the ropes and stumbling around. It was a very different reaction to punches from these guys.

But, McGregor did well for not being a boxer.

I agree McGregor did well but part of it was Mayweather's strategy. Conor said that it was not what he expected. Mayweather fought him in a phone booth from the middle rounds on.

Yeah I don't remember him ever being stunned. You don't keep walking forward when you're stunned. Mayweather didn't even look like he had a fight on Saturday Night

I will say this......Byrd was an awful ref......he never deducted points from McGregorfor hitting Mayweather on back of his head. I kept waiting for that to happen. And the same with the people I watched the fight with.

I have never seen so many rabbit punches to the back of a guy's head but it didn't seem to matter.

Did you see a different camera angle? It could have been a punch below the belt. I couldn't tell where the punch landed from the angle that I saw but the ref could have seen it better. Mayweather lifted and bent his leg. It seemed like a natural reaction to being hit low.

Just watched it. Not seeing where the ref "rescued a hurt Mayweather". I didn't see Mayweather ever come close to being hurt.

Just DJ buying into the Skip Bayless BS. Skip said the fight was close to being done in the 9th round. Mayweather was never hurt or in trouble
