Here we go!!

No tomato cans this week. We really need to go 2/3 to start this homestretch so we can pad our lead in the WC column, and tonight we start with our #2 on the mound:

The Angels have guys on the DL. Ohtani is one of them and we certainly won't miss seeing him.:thumb:
Still is gonna be a challenge though. Scioscia is a skilled manager and knows how to manage his guys, particularly his pitching staff. 2 out of 3 would be nice before we take on Boston for 4 (yikes). Go M's - keep us in the running.

Plus the Angles have a very good rotation so it's going to be tough scraping up the runs... I'm just glad Felix isn't pitching this series... Never thought i'd say that...

It's Trout that worries me. No matter how the rest of the team is doing, Trout always seems to find a way to hit off of us.

Never mind the fact that this is the start of a really tough path for us:

3 games vs Angels
4 games vs Boston
3 games at Yankees
3 games at Boston

...and being currently tied with Houston for the division again, this is where the team will REALLY be put to the test.

Bats better be ready, pitching arms better be set, and Felix better figure out what the hell he's gotta do if he's still gonna be in the rotation!

Lablanc got his ass out of that base loaded fiasco. I can't figure out why Servais didn't pull him when he was obviously getting into deep do do. It could have been a fucking disaster but Servais lucked out on that one. It's easy to see the difference between Scioscia and Servais. Scioscia pulled his starter long before the shit hit the fan and Scott just let it ride. :gaah:

I think Bradford only recently started warming up.

Someone should tell Dave Sims that Felix isn't a "the king" anymore. As soon as I heard him say "King Felix" would be pitching I just said to myself "Oh Fuck"- sorry to all of you Felix lovers but I've had with him losing games for us.

That's what I mean Tapey. It was pretty clear Lablanc was losing it but Scott waited way too long, in my opinion, before he got someone up in the pen.

That is a rough stretch. If they go 7-6 over these 13 games, that's a win IMO.

I honestly see no reason to ever pitch to Trout. Bases loaded, Bases empty I don’t care. Just walk him every time and make someone else in this lineup beat you

Cruz walks, seager swings at 1st pitch into a dp. Should have to do push-ups or something after that crap.

Diaz getting the 1-2-3 ninth was pretty big as it kept Trout from batting. I said in the Houston series that the M's need to start beating Houston, the Angels are another team the M's need to beat if they are truly a playoff contender. Good start to the series.

Good first step. They must win at least one of the next two and go .500 between the two series with Boston and the road games at NY.
