After releasing him, Bears reportedly bringing back Marcus Cooper

Cooper has had some success in this league. As a starter he was inconsistent -- but he should be quite solid as a depth corner.

Of course... you're going to get the fans still upset about the gaffe vs Pittsburgh. However, for the price tag and nothing more than a depth spot. I tend to forgive one mistake in a game he actually played a big role in helping us win defensively vs Pittsburgh.

Yeah, he played really well in that game. Which was (understandably) overlooked because of the all-time blooper reel play. Was the highest performer per PFF in that one for his role in containing AB. He struggled vs GB the following week, Fuller was coming on super strong. Callahan and Amukamara playing solidly as well. He just fell out of the equation.

Never hurts to have experienced depth. Cooper can definitely play ST as one of the gunners. I have this sneaking suspicion that if he is ever fortunate enough to scoop up a fumble and run with it, he'll go full speed all the way into the endzone.
