Luis Robert - 40/40?

I guess the suspense this season for the Sox - boils down to what prospects will they get at the trade deadline and will Luis Robert have a 40 HR and 40 SB season.

He's capable of a 40/40 season, but I wouldn't want him stealing bases just to add to the totals - and I hope he is very smart about protecting himself from injury in the process.

What do you guys think about Robert snagging a 40/40 season?

30/30 I could see being possible.

He’d need to start taking a lot more walks. To have 40 steals imo, could happen. Big jump in a year though.

I just hope he stays healthy for baseballs sake. He’s an exceptional talent.

He'll probably wind up hurt half of the year. I hate being this guy, but I just have no faith in anything anymore with this club.

I think yours is pretty much the take by most, if not all Sox fans. All we can do is find little snippets of positivity, such as Robert's personal numbers, to get us thru this year. I for one am taking the approach that it will have been a 'winning' season if we keep our losses under 100 games. Not exactly a high bar to follow, but there's a pretty large gap between now and the start of the football season, so I guess I need something to root for.

doubt it. i don't have much faith in robert anymore. i've a feeling he's not smart enough to play the way a really good player plays. seems to have the tools and yet .... not. i kinda hope they can move him but ... alas, the sox aren't smart enough to do that.
