can you imagine? A.Davis, Cousins, Holiday, Mirotic AND LeBron?

If he wants to go to a team that can knock off Houston or Golden State, here it is.

New Orleans is also a fun city that I am sure he could enjoy being there for 3-4 years and probably get 2-3 rings.

I doubt they have the cap room

Given it seems LeBron is about rings at this point in his career and he gets millions and millions from endorsements and from suing Alabama I am sure he could take a pay cut to get a few more rings before retirement.

Everyone keeps saying this, and if that was the case he could just to to Golden State. But he has been very clear that he wants his $35 mil.

"Take a pay cut"

Yeah, that's not going to happen. Teams like Philly and LA could offer him twice that NO could and they'd still be contenders

I wouldn't be surprised if he went to GS or Houston.

But New Orleans has the pieces to be monsters, and given it's a smaller market and they don't get nearly enough national exposure he could go there and not only win right away, but immediately give the Pelicans their much deserved attention.

Imagine this lineup:

Davis
Cousins
LeBron
Holiday
Rondo

Why does he care about how much attention New Orleans gets? Also, he's not going to Golden State no way in hell. Houston long shot.

LA Offers the big stage, but what a headache that franchise seems to be in right now.
Philly would be scary....very very scary. Not only are they in the East, but that team with their current young talented roster and add LeBron is frightening.

Cater to his stardom, him going to New Orleans would immediately give them attention. And again, stacked roster he very well could win a title in year 1.

What 'headache'? A competent front office and head coach? Young talent? Cap space?

Not possible. No way to get LeBron and keep Cousins. Also, Mirotec fits with Davis a lot better than Cousins does.

Besides, Philly has the cap space and an even better duo.

Is this like when you were sure Chip Kelly was returning to Oregon?

Yes. Who the hell wants to play for a franchise that has a good young head coach, an FO that seems to know what it's doing, has some good young players and enough money to add another top FA? There's no fun in that.

That's why he won't go to Philly either.

Dude, he's gonna get plenty of stardom catering wherever. Especially in, you know, freaking Hollywood.

Again, why does he care if anyone gives NO attention? You keep saying this like LeBron gives a shit.

Why the fuck would Lebron take a paycut from anyone?

he is not chasing a ring with desperation. He has 3 of them AND this season still being played.
He doesnt need to sacrafice everything to get his first ring like a lot of ring chaser veterans late in their careers.

Kobe, Wade, Jordan, and many others did not take massive paycuts when they had 3 rings, why should Lebron??
He might not take the super-max type of deals, but he is taking 25 - 35 million.

And he should.

He has repeatedly stated no discount, full max.

Look, I would love to see him go to a unsuspecting team.

But, not sure NOLa can offer him any perk, outside those bomb ass beignets, that Los Angeles can't.

He wants to win. But, he wants to win while getting paid the max.

Plus, not to be a ass....

There is no way I would want to raise my small children anywhere near New Orleans.

California has crime. But, we don't need to build an Ark.
